Youth Ministry
At Christ Church, our children are a vital part of our parish. We encourage our
youth to participate in all aspects of our worship and service to the community.
In addition we consider providing Christian education and ministry to our youth
of all ages imperative to helping them develop mentally and spiritually.

is provided for children and youth in the following age groups:

J2A & Rite 13
This is a multi-year, multi-step, program that incorporates bible study, Christian
education, and volunteering programs designed to help our youth make the transition
from childhood to adulthood. The program is open to those who are at least 11 years
old.
The first stage called J2A (Journey to Adult) continues until they reach 13 years
of age.
The second stage of the program called Rite 13. This stage is for 13 to 15 year
olds and culminates in their confirmation and acknowledgement as full-fledged adult
members of our church.
The program has a well-developed curriculum focused on the challenges faced by young
adults and endeavors to give them good tools to deal with this exciting and sometimes
difficult time in their lives. The program recognizes and addresses the importance
of this transition to adulthood in it's many facets, and also serves to keep the
young people involved in the life of the church. We at Christ Church are particularly
excited about offering the J2A/Rite 13 program to our youth.
Acolytes
Our youth assist the clergy and lay worship leaders during worship services, by
being torchbearers and as crucifers who are responsible for carrying the processional
cross.
Junior Choir
Christ Church’s Junior Choir performs for special events throughout the year.
